Regard Yakou: What Goes into Construction Management?

Regard Yakou understands the critical role construction managers play in the construction process. According to the Construction Management Association of America, a respected construction management advocacy and certification organization, construction managers typically have 120 responsibilities; those which may fall into any one of seven basic categories:

• Safety Management
• Contract Administration
• CM Professional Practice

A complex field, construction managers must possess workable knowledge in a range of areas, including, but not limited to: mediation, business, law, contracting and finance.  Managers must be able to successfully coordinate with various contractors, subcontractors, architects and specialists at any given time, and throughout the course of a given project.
